Head of Credit (Remote US)
Our client is a profitable, high-growth consumer fintech entering its next phase of expansion. They’re seeking a Head of Credit to build and lead the company’s credit strategy as they continue to scale their lending and banking products.
This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to design and own the end-to-end credit function: from underwriting strategy and risk models to portfolio performance and new product launches.
Responsibilities
Own the company’s credit strategy and underwriting framework.
Design and scale credit decisioning, risk models, and automated underwriting.
Monitor portfolio performance and optimize approval rates, losses, and delinquency trends.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Finance to launch and scale new credit products.
Build then lead the credit risk and underwriting team.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in consumer credit, underwriting, or credit risk leadership.
Experience building or scaling credit programs at a fintech, digital bank, or credit card issuer.
Strong expertise in credit modeling, underwriting strategy, and portfolio management.
Experience with automated decisioning and modern underwriting approaches.
Builder mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
